The data uncovered by this project will advance the City of Vancouver’s Greenest City 2020 Action Plan goals to 1) eliminate dependence on fossil fuels and 2) minimize the release of GHG emissions from its own vehicle traffic. Overall, it is financially feasible to replace ICEV with EVs at the VPD. The more ICEVs that the department replaces, the more money the department will save. For example, by replacing the entire fleet with EVs, the department will save approximately $1.04 million (see Table 1).”
