We discuss a 1000 km (600+ mile) trip from Prince George, BC to Boulder Creek, BC, and back again. I drive a Tesla Model 3 (2020) Long-Range AWD

In the first 20 minutes, I discuss the route, how much charging was required, and some gorgeous pictures of the Canadian Western Coastal Mountains.

*NOTE: the picture in the video is wrong showing that I left Houston with 55% I left with 79%

Update from the City of Houston,BC on July 3, 2020:
“Thank you for your feedback on the District’s EV Charging stations and tie in to the Highway 16 network. At present, the District is undergoing major renovations to its downtown core. Part of this work will involve the installation of the DC Fast Charging station in behind 9th Street, which will then be operational by September 2020.”

Update from BC Hydro July 3, 2020: The DC Fast Charger at SuperStore in Prince George should commence construction this month:

Interestingly Tesla will be releasing a new feature to pre-warm the battery for third party chargers which may have cut my charging times by 25%:
